装了Windows2000之后，为了安全起见，我把一些没用的系统服务停掉了。尽管选择了自动更新，自动更新服务也打开了，但自动更新就没有执行过。
后来装了Windows Defender，我想更新它的定义文件，结果也是更新失败。
今天我通过IE打开自动更新网站，想手工更新，结果还是失败。在失败原因上，我查到了，是因为Background Intelligent Transfer Service没有启动。
Background Intelligent Transfer Service有几个依赖服务，分别是：
System Event Notification
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Windows Management Instrumentation Driver Extensions
当我把Background Intelligent Transfer Service启动后，Windows自动更新、Windows Defender自动更新都可以用了。
